Go Jags!

Jonah has entered the world of organized sports. He, along with cousin Ethan and his friend Hudson, are playing for a YMCA 3-4 year old soccer team, with the team name assigned of the Jaguars. Brian is the coach and Jonah could not be more excited about playing each week. Here are a few pictures from the first game.

The team "taking a knee" and getting a pep talk from Coach Daddy/Brian before their first big game. The pep talk probably involved letting them know that you are supposed to kick the ball into one specific goal and not the other. Oh, and stay inside the lines.
Babysitter Emma had a very happy cousin Abby to play with.
The big guy.
Jonah scored a goal in his first game! Being the selfless, tenderheart that he is, he decided to help the other team out and put it in their net.
Jonah and Hudson intense in the action.
Water girl.
Ethan scored two goals (in the right goal)! Elise is a proud sister. An Abby sized chair.
Jonah throwing the ball in.
If you happened to be keeping score (Coach Daddy may or may not have been) one can be led to believe that the Coach, I mean Jags, gained their first victory. Way to go guys and gals.

Outsiders

We've been able to be outside and enjoying some beautiful weather lately and the kids are loving it! We are putting in a vegetable garden this year (I'm sure we'll have pictures of that to come) and Abby got a new swing as well. It's pretty exciting stuff and so far they have meant hours of entertainment in the great outdoors.

Jonah is helping daddy get the sides up for the raised garden.
Obviously he's a natural, coming from a long line of construction dudes.
Abby enjoying the new swing. She LOVES it and could swing for hours if I'd let her. Jonah and Abby love it most to swing side by side. One doesn't like swinging as much without the other.
The big guy.
The sweet girl.
I love this picture of Abby. She is just as much fun as she looks.
The play house we received a few months ago can now actually be used!
Jonah looks huge! Love these kiddos.

In other news, Jonah had his first ever experience with organized sports last Saturday playing 3 on 3 soccer with the YMCA. Pictures to come. He loved every single second. Also, we discovered last week that Abby has a peanut allergy. :( It is unfortunate, but thankfully her reaction wasn't extreme and we now know to be careful in the future. It will be an adjustment, but thankfully she won't know any different. If you have any tips for us with it, send them our way!

Abby Speaks

Sorry about Abby's consistently crazy hair. :) I sort of like it.

Expanding Band

Well, big news on the band front. Jonah's friend Hudson is now on lead guitar and backup vocals. Maren is also a new roadie. They may be releasing a new music video soon, so stay tuned. And I'm not sure of the band name yet... I'll have to see what the guys come up with.
You know those crazy roadies... always trashing the hotels and such.
And they just laugh about it. :)

A Few Random Photos

Here are some recent pictures of our little goofs. Jonah has been pretty hilarious lately with some of his random comments, so I will try and remember to post some of his best comments when they come up. I think I've failed to mention that Abby has been walking for the last month or so, so pictures to come of that as well. She's as cute as can be with her own little spunky personality and cuddling like crazy. Her hair is also dangerously close to ponytail length, which I have been anxiously waiting for. Little girl ponytails are so cute!!

Do you see a theme with Jonah pictures/videos? The boy is a ham. If you could look at pictures of Brian and me when we were little, there aren't many where we aren't making a silly face. Brian especially. This child has no hope.
This was Abby's favorite way to eat for a while. Feet on the table.
Jonah made a caterpillar play-doh creation all on his own. He also has been writing a few letters of the alphabet lately. What a smart cookie.
This is a photo of his recent concert (see previous post). He has had quiet a few repeat concerts, so if you're in the mood for free entertainment come on over. He is very interactive. Also, note his basketball uniform. This gets worn at least four times a week.
When I took a picture of Abby with her feet on the table, Jonah wanted a picture of him too. This is what he did to pose.
More to come....!
